The statistics are from Marktest’s Netpanel meter.
4,473,000 people living in mainland Portugal aged 4 and over visited ecommerce websites in July, August and September 2017, a fall of 5.3% compared to the same period in 2016.
This number represents 75.5% of Portuguese internet users and 580,000 single users, up 9% on the same period in 2016.
In the same quarter, the study concludes that 848,000,000 ecommerce sites were visited, a 11.5% rise, and that the Portuguese dedicated over 10 million hours to browsing these websites (2 hours and 15 minutes on average per user).
Looking back at the last 3 years, this figure is the second highest, only bettered by the 4th quarter of 2016 when it stood at 10.3 million hours
